Abstract

Terahertz (THz) communication systems are considered a key technology for achieving ultra-high data rates and low-latency wireless links. To support their deployment, the reliable characterization of THz propagation in realistic indoor environments is required. This paper presents calibrated ray-tracing (RT) simulations of an indoor hall scenario at 330–500 GHz using the CloudRT simulation platform. Material parameters are optimized through calibration against measured data, resulting in close agreement between simulated and experimental power delay profiles. The calibrated RT can accurately reproduce line-of-sight and first-order reflected components, demonstrating its capability to predict multipath behavior in sparse THz channels. The results provide insights into indoor THz propagation characteristics and establish a foundation for developing precise and standardized indoor THz channel models in future research.
